“The biggest adventure you can ever take is to live the life of your dreams.”

I finally made up my mind!
I decided to travel over seas and lands to spend some months in AUSTRALIA. It took quite a lot time to make such a big step, because Australia is so far away and it's not like being in Italy, where I could step on a plane every day and come back to home. Another reason, why my decision took such a long time is that I am going there alone, it's going to be a challenge for me, but I look forward to it !
I hope that I will meet there cool people and get good friends for a lifetime. Also I would like to try out surfing + I want to discover Australia and travel to different places. I'm spending my first months on the east coast.
But to be honest, I must say that I'm a bit afraid of going there for such a long time by myself, because it's going to be the biggest challenge I've ever taken.

Head full of thoughts

My head is full of different plans and ideas, what to do and where to spend my future.
I've always loved travelling and really, it is my passion! That's why I want to spend my gap year in foreign country, but I am such an aboulic person right now, so I can't decide where to go and what to do there. I can't just go to some country and travel around, because I need some resources for the life of my dreams. I need to make up my mind and head to somewhere!

My TOP 3 plans:

develop as a kitesurfer for some months in somewhere warm and then become IKO assistant instructor, in order to spend my Summer doing what I love the most- kitesurf. So that I would enjoy my precious time as a kitesurfer and live the awesome life that I long for.

move to Australia for some months. But I am so afraid of sharks and I am quite sure that I would be terrified to go kitesurfing. But despite my fear, I would love to see the life over there and travel around. In my opinion Australia is a place, where people live life to its fullest, it might be my illusion, but still for me everything seems so sunny and happy over there- hot guys, surfing, Australian accent, powerful nature, ocean, sun!

Go to university in January/ February, preferably to Amsterdam.

Other ideas:

Become a snowboard instructor, but it so expensive outlay

Go to some European country and find a job.

Work hard towards becoming a better sailor, go to sailing academy and train a lot.

Italy

Italy is my favorite country in the world. I guess it is because of its liveliness, nature, mountains, lakes. The feeling, what I get for example when I walk around Garda lake, feel the warm wind and see some lights on the mountains, it is priceless.

Milano!

I was in Milano for a short city break on 8-10th October. I hanged out there just by myself. It can be difficult to explain yourself to Italians, because about 90 per cent of them speak only Italian, they might understand English but still respond in Italian. But for me it is not something new and I still smile towards them , even though sometimes it frustrates me, when I need a quick answer.

But back to Milano, well I have been in Milano for several times and to be honest, I haven't thought that it is a good place to go to get "Italian" experience. In my opinion, to get a "Italian" experience, you should spend some time for example around Garda lake or Como and so on. Or another option would be to go to Rome or some more historical city (Verona).
